Start with AI Readiness
Have a repetitive task
"There's something my team does over and over that feels like it should be automated."
Workflow automation is often the fastest ROI. Tell us the task, we'll show you what's possible and what it costs to hand it off.

AI Search

Google is no longer the only front door.

Your next customer may never see a search results page. They will ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Google's AI Mode who to call, and they will get an answer with one or two names in it. Most local websites are invisible to the tools writing those answers. Ours scored a 25 before we fixed it. By that evening it scored 83. We now do that same work for Tri-Cities businesses.

How this looks in practice

Selected work.

A few anonymized examples of the shape this work actually takes. No invented numbers, no fabricated outcomes, just the situation, the constraint, what got built, and how a person stayed in the loop.

SituationA local contractor needed a more reliable way to generate customer agreements.
ConstraintStandard payment rules didn't apply to every job. Some projects required deposits, while others required full payment at completion.
WorkWe built a contract-generation workflow that accounted for job-specific payment terms, scope, customer details, and exceptions.
OutcomeThe new process cut manual rewriting and made exceptions explicit before an agreement went out.
Human safeguardThe contractor reviewed final terms before sending any agreement to a customer.

SituationLegal-support work meant organizing, verifying, and clearly presenting large amounts of information.
ConstraintAccuracy, source traceability, confidentiality, and defensible reporting mattered more than speed alone.
WorkWe structured the research, verified sources, organized documents, and used carefully supervised AI assistance to support reporting.
OutcomeThe result was a clearer, repeatable workflow for organizing findings and flagging gaps that needed human investigation.
Human safeguardAI did not replace source review, factual verification, or professional judgment.
SituationA local business needed consistent web content that sounded like the owner rather than generic AI copy.
ConstraintThe content had to preserve the business's voice, reflect its actual services, and support search visibility without keyword stuffing.
WorkWe built a structured process for research, drafting, editing, fact-checking, and local SEO implementation.
OutcomeThe business ended up with a repeatable publishing workflow, clearer positioning, and less time spent starting from a blank page.
Human safeguardThe business owner reviewed every piece before it went live.

Common questions

Things people ask before they call.

Probably not the way you're imagining. AI replaces tasks, not jobs, and usually the tasks your people dislike most. Repetitive data entry, routing emails, formatting reports, pulling numbers from documents. What it can't replace is judgment, relationships, and accountability. A good AI strategy finds where your team is doing machine-level work and hands that off, so they can spend more time on work that actually requires a person. The businesses getting hurt aren't the ones using AI, they're the ones ignoring it while competitors move faster with the same headcount.
It depends entirely on which tool and how you're using it. Pasting sensitive contracts into a free AI chat tool is not the same as running a private AI system on your own infrastructure. Some platforms store your data for training purposes. Others have enterprise agreements with real data protections. Some can be run entirely on-premise so your documents never touch a third-party server. Tri-Cities AI Lab helps you understand the difference and build systems that match the sensitivity of your data, not ones that create liability you're not aware of.
The honest answer: it depends on what you're actually trying to do. ChatGPT is solid for general writing, research, and brainstorming. Claude is particularly strong for working with large documents and nuanced reasoning. Microsoft Copilot is worth it if your team is already deep in Microsoft 365. Google Gemini fits naturally into Google Workspace. The worst thing you can do is pick a tool based on what's trending and then try to fit your problems around it. Start with the problem. Then pick the tool. We help with that part.
It ranges more than people expect. The off-the-shelf AI tools run $20 to $30 per user per month. A small, clearly defined automation may cost several hundred dollars. Workflows involving multiple systems, sensitive information, or custom interfaces generally begin in the low thousands. An AI strategy engagement to figure out where you should even start is often the best first dollar spent. It keeps you from investing in the wrong thing. The first conversation with Tri-Cities AI Lab is always free, and there's no obligation to move forward until it makes sense for you.
